Couples + Partners Therapy
In-person in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and online across New York State
You want your relationship to feel secure, loving, and exciting, but you keep getting stuck on old wounds or familiar cycles. Maybe someone wants space when another wants closeness or you’re struggling to negotiate between individual and shared needs. Maybe you’re embarking on an exciting milestone together that deserves intentional preparation. Whatever the reason, couples and partners therapy helps you navigate all the complexities with support, guidance, and containment.
What to expect
We'll start by getting a real picture of what's happening in your relationship dynamics, not just assessing the current issue, but the mapping the patterns underneath it. From there, we work with each of you to understand what each person needs, where things break down, and how to build something more loving and sustainable together. Sessions are longer (60 to 90 minutes), offered in-person in Brooklyn and Manhattan and virtually across New York State.
Our approach
We treat your relationship with nuance and care, considering both the relationship and each partner involved as their own entity. Our therapists are trained in various modalities that soften defenses and facilitate connection, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatics, and relational approaches. We work with queer, kinky, non-monogamous, and otherwise diverse relationships.

Things are okay and you want to build something stronger before they're not

Book directly using the links on this page or head over to the contact page. We’ll follow up by connecting you with a recommended therapist who will schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to ensure it feels like the right fit.
If it feels aligned + you’re ready, you’ll schedule your intake session on the call.
-
During your first session, your therapist will spend time getting to know more about each of you, the history of your relationship, and what you’re hoping to work on together.
-
It depends on where you are in the work. Early sessions tend to focus on understanding patterns and building a shared language for what's happening. Over time, sessions become more active — practicing new ways of communicating, working through specific ruptures, and building toward what you actually want the relationship to look like.
We’ll have time at the start of each session to decide where we want to go, and time at the end to reflect on what we learned.
-
Yes. Typically sessions involve all partners, whether you’re a dyad, triad, or polycule. Your therapist may want to have 1-2 individual sessions with each partner if that feels needed, but this is something you’d discuss and agree upon ahead of time.
-
We accept credit card, cash, Venmo, Zelle, HSA/FSA, and PayPal, and payment is due at the time of service. We keep one credit card on file but can change your payment type whenever you’d like.
-
Everything shared in your sessions stays in the room. We won't involve anyone else without written permission from both/all of you. The same rare legal exceptions apply as in individual therapy — your therapist will walk you through those in your first session.
We’re ready when you are.
We’ll start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to hear more about your needs, answer any questions you have, and assess fit.
We’re out of network providers. We don’t bill your insurance directly, but we can give you receipts for out of network reimbursement if needed. We take HSA/FSA and have a few sliding scale spots for those in need. Fees vary by clinician and session length.
