Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

KAP in Brooklyn + Manhattan, NYC

Is KAP right for you?

It could be a good fit if…

  • You're curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy but you want it to be held within a therapeutic relationship with personalized support

  • You've done the work in traditional therapy and you're wondering if there's a way to go deeper

  • You're dealing with treatment-resistant depression, complex trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, or existential questions that haven’t felt fully addressed with other approaches

  • You want a therapist who treats the medicine as a tool within the therapy, not a shortcut around it

Our approach

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is the intentional combination of prescription ketamine with therapeutic processing. The ketamine creates a window of openness where your usual defenses soften and new insights emerge. After the initial intake, we’ll schedule a 3-4 hour experiential session including preparation, journeying, and integration. Your therapist is right by your side during the entire experience, and we spend dedicated time building on your insights afterward.

The process

01

Free Consultation

A conversation with one of our licensed therapists to see if KAP is the right fit for you. 15–30 mins.

02

Intake Session

A comprehensive mental health assessment to understand your needs, goals, and resources. 60 mins.

03

Medical Evaluation

Meet with one of our trusted prescribers and pick up your prescription. Session length and price varies (some take insurance).

04

Experiential Session

A 3-4 hour session that includes preparation, dosing, journeying, and integration — the core of the KAP process.

We recommend at least 3-6 experiential sessions to see meaningful change, but most clients find 6-8 is where real shifts can happen.

05

Repeat + Integrate

We'll schedule your next experiential session, or when you feel finished, connect with your therapist to continue integrating.

What to expect

The experiential session is the core of your Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy session in NYC. Here’s how it goes.

  • Meet with your therapist in one of our comfortable and private Brooklyn or Manhattan office spaces

  • Settle, set intentions, and prepare for taking the medicine

  • Take a sublingual ketamine lozenge and swirl in your mouth for 15-20 minutes

  • Lie down and relax into the journey with an eye mask and headphones playing a curated playlist

  • Ease your way out of the journey with guidance from your therapist

  • Reflect and integrate your insights by journaling, processing, and inviting gentle movement

  • Have a snack, water, or tea, and prepare to leave the space

We recommend a minimum of 3 experiential sessions to notice a shift. Most clients find 6-8 sessions is where significant change happens.

Pricing

Sessions with your therapist are billed at their standard hourly rate, which ranges from $275-330. The medical evaluation and prescription are paid separately to one of our trusted partner prescribers.

If the investment is a barrier, we reserve a small number of sliding scale spots for those in financial need. We are also recruiting members for a more cost-effective small group KAP experience.

You may be wondering…

  • Yes. Ketamine is a legal, FDA-approved medication that has been used safely in medical settings for decades. In KAP, it's prescribed by a licensed medical provider and administered in a controlled, supervised setting. This is not underground or experimental, it's a legitimate clinical approach with a growing evidence base.

  • It varies, but most people describe a loosening of the usual mental chatter and rumination, a sense of distance from their default patterns, and enhanced visualizations. You stay conscious the whole time and your therapist is there to guide you through every turn of the ketamine assisted psychotherapy experience.

We'll talk through what to expect during our intake and prep sessions.

  • We work with doctors and nurse practitioners who prescribe sublingual ketamine lozenges at the appropriate dose for you (depending on your prior experience with ketamine, your current physical + mental health conditions, and your intentions for treatment).

  • This depends on your specific clinical needs. We typically recommend 3-6 medicine sessions to experience noticeable change.

  • We'll figure that out together. KAP isn't the first thing we recommend — it works best when it's embedded in an existing therapeutic relationship and when other approaches have laid some groundwork. During your consultation, we'll talk through your history, what you've already tried, and whether KAP makes sense as part of your treatment. There are also some medical and psychiatric contraindications we'll screen for to make sure it's safe for you.

  • Both. We have offices in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and West Village, Manhattan - and see clients virtually throughout New York state.

For Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, we can meet virtually for intake, prep sessions, and integration sessions, but any sessions involving the medicine will be held in person in Brooklyn or Manhattan, NYC.

  • We’re an out of network provider, so we don’t directly bill insurance.

We can give you receipts for out of network reimbursement, but keep in mind insurance companies are still slow to approve Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions in NYC.
